Scale

191 this morning. Seems to jump around a fair bit.

An off-liner message from my darling today, which was nice as I hadn't heard from her in a week. She has the U2 cd. I was listening to it a few nights ago actually.

Cafe Deux Soliel - August 2, 2004

Your skin warms my skin
with the fluid and airy wetness
of your affection.
I drink your breath.
I love you, and say, "I love you."
into the scalp of hair above your ear.
I count the times my
hand touches yours.
The number races ahead of me
wonderfully.

Your breast fits into the warm
and relaxed muscles of my arm
like perfection.

The restaurant booth is small.
Your body is slender
and smooth as a handrail.

Let me die, I hear my voice say,
if I will never have this morning again.

Photograph of the Lodge. Posted by Hello

This is the back of the lodge. Photograph taken on the last day, Thursday, when the sun came out and things looked nice and the puppies were sleeping in the sunshine. Tuesday and Wednesday weren't so nice, with wind and snow.

Back From Ottawa

Back from Ottawa. Didn't even gain weight. 87.5 kilos. Exercised a bit at the Minto Suites hotel (tres nice). Drank beer in a patio cheap bar in Gatineau Quebec (Hull); the sunshine was nice, the waitress was lovely, and the conversation was humorous and fast paced.

USA Visa

In Ottawa airport. On my way back to Edmonton, overnight there and on to Yellowknife in the morning.

The trees are black sticks. The sky is grey. The grass is brown and matted wet. I thought for a moment as I looked out the window on the way to the airport that I should end it all with Sh. A sense of relief, very much temporary, flooded over me. Then was overwashed and submerged in a sense of fear and desolation.

Spark, I suppose, is the news that the USA visa is on the horizon. Still feel she may got tripped up in the interview. Hope not, or she may think that I ratted her out. Which I haven't. And won't.
